I agree. These are certainly strange times we're living in. It feels like we've lost our direction. Genuine role models are hard to come by, and so much of life seems rushed and shallow. I believe we'll eventually reach a breaking point where we recognize our errors and begin to correct course. That's my hope, at least.

How strange it is that, despite knowing all this, we humans still pour enormous effort into building industries that drag us into lower states of mind. Vast amounts of energy go into producing alcohol, junk food, fast fashion, luxury goods, social networks with addictive algorithms, morally vacant TV shows, and advertisements and news devoid of truth (not to mention the military-industrial complex).

We live in a profoundly strange era: on one hand, the wisdom of all religions and traditions is more accessible than ever before; on the other, people have never been so indifferent to it.
